Vinho Verde Flights!

Our Featured Flight weekend for August is here and this month we are featuring Vinho Verde!

From the cool, rainy Minho region of northwestern Portugal, "Vinho Verde" translates to "green wine." This doesn't mean you'll be drinking wine that is green in color but rather that it is a "young wine". It is meant to be enjoyed fresh, shortly after bottling. Famous for its crisp acidity, bright citrus flavors, and a signature subtle fizz, Vinho Verde is refreshing and naturally lower in alcohol.

Join us all weekend to explore the unique personalities of these five distinct vineyards:
Aveleda - Family-owned Portuguese winery founded in 1870. What to expect: dry yet vibrant, lime and peach.
Broadbent - Portuguese wine created by Bartholomew Broadbent in 2005. What to expect: tart but clean, peach and melon.
Faisao - Portguese wine brand whose name translates to “pheasant”. What to expect: zesty green apple and pear.
Hark - A Virginia vineyard who makes Virginia Verde (a vinho verde style) with Vidal Blanc. What to expect: soft, lively, effervescent.
Casal Garcia - Winery located in the historic Vinho Verde region of Portugal who’s parent winery is Aveleda. What to expect: delicate, light and citrusy.
